Gloria Ho is a watercolour painter based in Edmonton, AB. She aims to make things that are joyful, inviting, and that bring a smile to people’s faces. Gloria has been painting for most of her life and started selling her artwork in 2014. She particularly enjoys painting portraits.

When her elementary students in South Korea thought her name was Gorilla and started calling her “Gorilla Teacher”, Gloria was inspired! This hilarious nickname sparked a series of gorilla drawings and primate paintings, which then led to a whole collection of animal portraits.

In addition to her passion for painting and the Edmonton arts community, Gloria spent nine years as an educator teaching English abroad and to newcomers to Canada. She is currently enjoying her time away from the classroom taking care of her son and painting.
